Support for businesses looking to expand or establish new operations in Gateshead, South Tyneside or Sunderland.
The Growth Fund was a £4.5m programme of investment part-funded by ERDF that supports SME growth across Gateshead, South Tyneside and Sunderland local authorities.
The primary aim of the Fund was to create employment and stimulate business growth. It fostered innovative processes to drive productivity, resulting in increased profitability, wage growth and employment growth in SME’s, strengthening our economy and creating better jobs.
The Fund aimed to attract £10.5m of private sector investment and aim to create a minimum of 252 new jobs in the area.

We’ve worked with more than 600,000 businesses across the UK, defrayed more than £300m in grants and loans, leverage more than £650m of private sector investment, created or safeguarded more than 40,000 jobs and facilitated contract wins of more £185m.
